The Public Policy Department is staffed by two political representatives who support the REALTOR® public policy mission and provide research on federal, state, and local levels concerning issues impacting real estate and private property rights. The Public Policy Department also employs contract lobbyists to assist in the legislative affairs of the Alabama Association of REALTORS®.
As a state Association, our primary focus is to be the voice of real estate in Alabama and to protect the rights of our members and the clients they serve. We monitor dozens of bills during the annual legislative session as well as draft and pre-file bills applicable to our members.
